Maze

This is the level I set up. It is a maze, the player starts at the bottom middle (where the player icon is) and the exit is the gold door at the top left of the screen.

As I am concentrating on the cameras in this level for this unit, I have put my time into making them instead of making other aspects of the level. If the level was working exactly how I would like it, the player would have to go from the start, make their way over to the brown box to get a key for the door, find their way through the maze, escape the corridor of closing walls (the wider looking corridor at the top of the screen) and then get to the door. However, I have left the key and closing walls out of this level for the moment.

Apart from the 1st/3rd person toggle, all the other cameras I am going to set up will be third person cameras from different angles.

I am planning to set the cameras up as follows:

1) A first / third person toggle

2) A corner 'security' style camera at one of the dead ends - this would be to help the player a bit as they can see that is a dead end but it could also create a creepy vibe as it is like the character is being watched.

3) A bird's eye view of the map or a high angle shot of the map. This would help the player by showing the map.

4) A camera facing the character with the box in the shot, so the player can see the character collecting the key from the box.

5) A camera close to the floor watching the player run towards them through the closing walls corridor. By using a low angle shot with the character moving towards the camera, it makes the action seem much bigger to the player and can increase intensity of the scene.

6) A camera that shows the exit, so that the player knows what they are looking for inside the maze.
