The easiest things to make in Maya for my horror scene are the maps, paperwork, and Propaganda posters. For this, I just started with a basic cube: elongated it and made it very thin.
I only need to make one as I can duplicate it and change it to the right size / orientation for each item. Once the details are added in UE4, they will look like each different item.
